Danny met Teri sometime after the Full House series finale episode, "Michelle Rides Again (Part 2)". It was revealed in season 3 that Danny and Teri are no longer married (being divorced). Gia becomes the target of put downs at the hands of Michelle in much the same way as Kimmy is targeted by Stephanie. Over time, Michelle becomes quite creative with her insults. Gia reappears in season two of Fuller House when Kimmy gets the idea of getting their band "Girl Talk" back together.

When the show starts back up Danny refuses to audition to be her co-host, which results in her being stuck with a Neanderthal co-host, but not long after he is able to get his old job back.
